Satin Ball Recipe for Dogs

"Satin Balls" is a complete diet for dogs, rich and high in calories, and should only be fed as a supplement or to encourage significant weight gain.

Recipe for Small Dogs:

  • 1 lbs Ground Beef (use 95% lean for a lower fat content)
  • 1 1/3 cup Total Cereal (without raisins)
  • 1 1/2 cup Oatmeal
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 tbsp Wheat Germ
  • 1 packet Knox Unflavored Gelatin
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tbsp Unsulfured Molasses
  • Pinch of Salt

Method:

Mix all ingredients and roll them into medium sized meatballs. Serve raw or freeze preformed satin balls in weighted portions.


Original Recipe:

  • 10 lbs Ground Beef (use 95% lean for lower fat content)
  • 12 cups Total Cereal (without raisins)
  • 15 cups Oatmeal
  • 10 Eggs
  • 1 15oz jar of Wheat Germ
  • 10 packages Knox unflavored gelatin
  • 1 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 1/4 cup Unsulfured Molasses
  • 1 tsp Salt

Half Recipe:

  • 5 lbs Ground Beef (use 95% lean for lower fat content)
  • 6 cups Total Cereal (without raisins)
  • 8 cups Oatmeal
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1/2 a 15oz jar of Wheat Germ
  • 5 packages Knox unflavored gelatin
  • 5/8 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 5/8 cup Unsulfured Molasses
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
